Mother of Dragons's Guide to York, North Yorkshire
parent bloggers in York, North Yorkshire
For many people, York is the quintessential old British city. With its rambling streets in the medieval area around the Minster to more modern attractions like the National Railway Museum, there is something for everyone. As well as being one of the UK's most beautiful cities, York is also one of the busiest tourist destinations, which means that it is well set up with lots for families to do... but the downside is that it also that many of those places will be packed out with visitors from far and wide especially during school holidays.

Hopefully we can give you some great ideas for places to visit, from farms to gardens to stunning castles for the kids to attack.

It's a great city to relax in, with some super hotels from budget to luxury and a beautiful section of river to walk along.

If you have more venues to suggest then let us know. We love adding new places to the site!
